At the end of this course, learners will be able to conduct and support safety, health and environmental risk assessments at work.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to identify and explain the legal and organisational specific requirements regulating the reporting and investigation of workplace incidents. You will also be able to complete the required reports and to process any physical evidence that may have been collected.
The OHS Act Course equips learners with the ability to understand and interpret the terminology used and objectives of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, as amended. Course outcomes include exposure to the national and provincial structures of the legislation (OHS) and various sections and regulations of the act, with the aim of implementing important sections of the act, thus striving toward H&S compliance.
By the end of this course, you will understand the foundations, structure and vocabulary of the ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) standards. An integrated approach to systems management can make it easier to see how compliance contributes to your company’s results.
